Life Lately: An Update On Life

You know that feeling when you're inspired and you don't want that feeling to go away because it feels great?

Hello, again! I'm sorry I haven't updated in 4 months. You know me. I wish I could say that something huge happened but no, nothing much happened... Okay, I take it back. Actually, a lot has happened. Life changing moments; Beach trip. Another year to live. More life realizations. Another chapter in life has started. Doors closing, windows opening. Friends leaving. Beginning of new friendships. Friendships rekindled. New music preferences...

One of the reasons I didn't update is because my laptop charger broke. I bought a new one, but not the original. I couldn't afford a 5k worth of charger :( So I opted for the PHP850 one. Well, since it's not original, as expected, it somehow affected the speaker of my laptop. And soon probably will affect the battery so I rarely use my laptop now until I get a job and buy an original charger.

About not having a job yet, well, I only started job hunting this month. Yes, I know, I should've started a long time ago but I was scared. It's hard to explain but long story short, music inspired me to go start the job hunting. So here I am, a few days after doing it, still waiting for that call. Still praying that someone will call because I really need a job. I want to get into more of what happened the past few weeks regarding this topic but I think I will write that in another blog post. I'm just here to update you that yes, I'm still alive. Haha!

Besides updating, I'm writing this because of this new music group I'm supporting. I was introduced to them a day after my birthday. Ever since then, I've been happier than how I was before it happened. I still get those sad moments but now they're tolerable because of them and their music. 

This is SEVENTEEN, the K-Pop group that caught my heart instantly. For me, they're not just an idol group. I'm honestly glad that they're the first K-Pop idol group that I supported. No regrets. I fell in love with them and their music immediately. So here's the story about how I got to support this group. Last April, my best friend, Ica, came over to celebrate my birthday with me. We were in the living room and she asked me if she could watch Youtube videos on our TV. Of course, I said yes. She's been a K-Pop fan since forever so I knew that she was gonna watch her idols on Youtube. Back then, she was a new fan of SVT, too. Our college friend introduced her to them. And since Ica's been asking me to listen to K-Pop music before, she asked me again to watch SVT's videos with her. We watched their videos from variety shows to music videos but there's this mv that got me hooked. It was because of the music, I guess. The title of the song is Don't Wanna Cry. (Check it out!) And the rest is history. I'm not really good at explaining or what but I hope you get what I'm trying to say. LOL Since Justin has been MIA for almost a year now, I think I missed fangirling. I missed the excitement it gives me, the sleepless nights of waiting for comeback updates, listening/watching live streams of performances/concerts, STAN TWT YAS, making new friends on Twitter, reading fics ;)

Actually, they're the ones who inspired me to finally start job hunting. I was jealous of all the other fans buying merch and going to their concert and I wanted that, too. I wanted to see them in person. I wanted to personally thank them for being my ray of light in the dark moments of my life. But of course, that's a long shot. Maybe someday, I will be able to do that. I've only been a fan for over 3 months now, but I will never ever forget them and their music and how they helped me get through tough times. :) Special shoutout to my best friend, Ica, for introducing me to them! 

So yeah, I guess that's it. I'm gonna write another blog post about the other stuff that happened. I just wanted to update you about this since I haven't been posting about my music preferences. :)

THE STARS IN THE SKY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

Hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala..

It was Thursday afternoon, nung sinabi sakin ng friend ko na nasa school daw si Kean. Guest celebrity sya ng MYX para i-promote yung chocolate bar na Beng-beng. Syempre ako, nung sinabi nya yun, medyo nagwala.. Medyo lang kasi may professor kami nun. :P After namin mag-quiz, lumabas na si Jhek para pumunta sa Patio Trinidad kung nasan si Kean. Ako humahanap pa ng tyempo at ng kasama bago lumabas. Nung lumipat na kami ng room sa taas, pumunta na kami ni Debbie! OMG. Andun siya nakaupo habang may contest yung MYX na haharanahin ng girls si Kean then pipili siya ng isang girl. GAAAAAHHHHH, ang swerte nila.. Medyo konti lang naman yung tao nun kaya kitang-kita namin siya. Tapos may meet and greet pa pero di kami nakasama kasi.... ewan ko. :P But with the help o Karen (girl sa dulong left), she is an ex MYX VJ candidate, kilala niya yung cameraman, kaya kami nakapag-papicture!!

Omg, after namin magpapicture, thank you ng thank you si Kean and then tinaas niya kamay niya and then OMGGGGG nag-high five kami! Hindi lang highfive ah, yung tipong medyo ni-grab nya pa yung kamay ko (omg so conyo hindi ko kasi maexaplain sa tagalog sorry). GAAAAHHHHHHHHH sorry for fangirling so much, I just. Me and my sister have been supporting him since hindi pa masyadong sikat yung Callalily nun. So, this is really a big deal for me. :)

And then, after school hours, we went to Embi's house for the sleepover para gawin yung thesis namin. When I opened my Facebook, Karen tagged me that photo. So ako naman, syempre, I posted it on Instagram and Twitter. After 2 hours, I checked my email, and I saw a notification na KEAN REPLIED TO MY TWEET OMFG 

YEP HINDI PA RIN AKO MAKAPANIWALA. Kasi when I checked his Twitter account, ako lang niretweet/nireplyan nya that time sa dami ng nagmention sa kanya (for sure)! So I was literally rolling and laughing (because of happiness) on the floor. THIS DAY IS ONE OF THE HIGHTLIGHTS OF MY 2013..... I hope marami pang maganap na ganito in the future :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JUSTIN!

Friends surprised me with this banner for Justin's birthday. I was so overwhelmed because it was the first that someone or some people surprised me with something. I did not cry though, because I was so happy and I was laughing hard because my friends were like super hyper that time when they entered the room. They were blasting Beauty and a Beat when they entered and shouted, "Happy Birthday, Justin!" I was like, "WOOOOOOOOOW. Guys, you really did this for me?" Gaaaahhhh, I was really happy that time.

It was Debbie's idea to make a banner and surprise me (I think). Gaaahhh, I have awesome friends <3 So, to celebrate Justin's birthday, I bought food at Mcdonald's and a cake from Red Ribbon! I also bought balloons! Yeah, that's how I kinda celebrate Justin's birthday. :)

I was so hyped when I saw this I didn't even remember that the announcement of winners was today! Gaaahhhh, I still can't believe I won. When we went to MOA last Monday I was kinda in a hurry to buy Just Getting Started at Fully Booked because I already thought that I won't win the raffle. But something stopped me, I don't what it was but thank God I did not buy. Omg, I'm really happy at the moment I can't even explain what I feel. Weird, right? :p

BE YOURSELF

We all feel insecure, sometimes, don't we? Why? What are the reasons we feel insecure?

Well, I admit it. I feel insecure most of the time because of what I look like (As you can see, I am not pretty and sexy). I'm just a girl, what should I feel? I wanna change my body/appearance but I know I can't, so let's just stick with this (HA-HA). It won't make any difference anyways and I'd rather be like this than change what I look like and then have the people around me doubt about it. And besides, I have to be contented, right? God gave me what I have right now and I should be thankful for that.

First thing in the morning last Wednesday this is the first thing I saw on Twitter. (I always check Justin's tweet the moment I open my phone, it's a Belieber thing.) And I think it inspired me because I blogged about it somehow, (check my last blog entry) about something like this. For me, Justin's right. We're all beautiful when we're being just ourselves. This is the best thing we can do as a girl. We can't feel insecure anymore because if the people around love us for us, we'll be able to be ourselves around them and that makes them love us more.

And I know we're all beautiful in our Creator's eyes. Nothing is more important than that. :)

ZAC EFRON, MY FIRST LOVE, TURNS 25 TODAY.

So, today my baby Zac turns 25! Omg, how time flies by so fast? LOL. But I’m not kidding though, my first love turns 25 today. Yep, you read it right, my first love. Before Bieberfever attacked me, I’ve already fallen for this guy. C’mon, who didn’t? He’s like the sexiest and most gorgeous man living in Earth.

Zachary David Alexander Efron, born in San Luis Obispo, California. Who knew that a lot of girls will fall for him? He was such a ‘totoy’ before in his Highschool Musical Days. But look at him now! He’s so freaking hot. (Sorry, can’t help myself)

Last September 29, he had a Fan Conference in SM MOA Arena for Penshoppe. Yep, he’s the latest endorser of Penshoppe! How awesome could that be? :) The moment me, my sister Chel and my friend Debbie heard that he’s having a fan conference here, we didn’t let the chance slip away! We bought clothes and other stuffs from Penshoppe so you can get tickets. Sadly, we can only afford clothes and stuffs worth 1,200PHP so we got the Lower Box seats! It was a good seat though because it’s next to Patron seats which are next to VIPs! :)

Which we exchanged to this so we can enter the arena:

So when we arrived outside the Arena, at like, 4:30ish or something, the place are crowded already!

The gates open at 6 PM, so more and more people came..

When we got inside the arena there was another line.

And finally we got in!

I heard that almost 8,000 people were there at the arena to see Zac! And it was the biggest fancon to date!

Before Zac came out, Jay-R, La Divas and Never The Strangers performed some songs. And Also the UP Pep Squad danced/cheerdanced to Highschool Musical’s song, We’re All In This Together until Zac came out.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to hug or kiss him. (omg, I can’t believe I didn’t *insert sad face here*) They’ve chosen 100 lucky people for the Meet and Greet’s but I wasn’t one of them :( But of course, I’m happy. After 6 years of fangirling, I’ve seen him personally! I really thank God for this happening/event. I think that is the best night of my life so far. I was able to capture a video of Boy interviewing him but I’m still uploading it and it takes 3249375826 years to upload it so I guess I’ll just post it here when it’s done! :)

Before we went home, outside the arena, we saw all the girl holding posters, dvds, and other giveaways. So, we went here and there to find any posters because all the girls were holding like more than 5 posters! So we went at the place where we fell in line earlier before the gates opened, and we saw the guards giving away posters so we fell in line! Ha, and I got this very very cute poster.

I also bought a magazine which Zac is the cover for just a hundred pesos :)

So, it’s March 26 today and 19 million girls (including me) have been waiting for Justin’s new single, which was released a few hours ago on iTunes. I wasn’t able to buy it on iTunes because it’s not available in the Philippines. So, instead of buying it, i downloaded it. I found a link on Tumblr from where I can download it. (Sorry Justin! :) ) But of course, if it’s available, I would buy. I hate iTunes here in our country. :/

And now I can’t stop listening to it. It’s on repeat. Y’all should listen to it. It’a amazing. To the haterz, well, you should at least give it a try. Go listen and see what’ll happen. You’ll never regret listening to it. :)
